I found this blog which highlighted the key lessons  and benefits of Agile with Offshore development team. I have summarized the key points below:

 

Aditi's CEO Mr.Pradeep Singh was to meet us (the fresh bakras,new blood or Bratpack of Aditi) on 10th OCT and a dinner   was organised at Patels Inn near R.T.Nagar.We were excited to meet him and he was in Bangalore.But before that we asked a Lead about him and he coolly replied that he was a PASSIONATE, COOL   guy with absolutely no hangups that we are his employees.

 

Anyway as part of the regular meeting with the teams he just walked in and shook hands with the Lead and started chatting with the team and some questions as part of the post-mortem of a earlier project.Then there was a demo of an application in LONGHORN Tabletpc Edition to him and it ended there.He then said is it not a cool story to tell your friends that we are the only guys checking code into MS from Bangalore and being part of the BIGGEST Product Development effort by mankind!!!!!Hell YES it is...

 

And on 10th, we had a cab for pickup at 8.30 and we left for Patels Inn.On the way one of the Cabs got stuck in traffic, but in the mean time i went Karting. We got ourselves a Mug of beer and starters were served and we started the chat and he started to explain a Weird theory that he didn't feel as Old as he is and stuff like that.A couple of minutes later we started to pose questions about the whole story of Aditi and the future and NEXT Thing to look out for and stuff like that. That part of the conversation was cool and didn't realise that the guy in front of us is our CEO!!!!

 

Anyway, it was a evening well spent and the night spent in deep slumber..

 

 

hey guys,
tis happened a couple of days back but couldnt post it.

here's the story:
3:55:-- urgent meeting regarding evaluation and postmortem meeting
abt the assignment and training at 4:30

 

4:25:-- we are all in the boardroom

4:30:-- the door is closed and the biggies of aditi are there;
coo,cto,project leads, managers and people department(hr) head,
everyone is there ok.

 

then the cto says that tis is the first time in 10yrs of aditi that
they have got such a bad feedback abt the fresh batch. a lot of jobs
are at stake on both sides( the aditi side and our side).
all are having straight faces and all are silent. the PD head is
irritant and switches off his phone and keeps cursing.

 

in a couple of minutes we have a paper in our hand( by the way this
was a paper by google). the paper is so abstract and mindbending.

questions were like given a blank space beautify it on the paper. it
has 40 questions and is written 1hr, but we were given 20min to
complete it. some more questions on search technologies and some
really cryptic stuff!!!

 

anyway they took them and started correcting them in front of us!!
throwing each paper down saying reject, accept and calling people
names.

this was done and the cto says it has been graded and only 5 got A
and 4 got B and 18 people got the rest C and D. he said he was
disappointed by the blank papers and reqd us to think atleast..

anyway we were to meet the PD(HR) one by one and he would settle the
account for the unwanted lot!!. in acouple of minutes the gurlzz were
about to cry and the guys were thinkin they left infy,wipro,cogi and
came here. i had thoughts of cogi being still there and was chilled
out than the rest of others.

 

and just abt then, the whole project leads, mangers and everyone else
take out the gas sprays which is used in parties and sticks to skin
and  start spraying on us screaming BAKRA!!!

they spilled chocolates and bookmarks and called us to terrace
cafeteria where we would be served samosa's,puffs,cool drinks,chips.
YES BOYS everything ON THE HOUSE.

ALSO we were served BEER!! at the company terrace(CAFETERIA). quite
unbelievable, isnt it???

 

anyway chilled out for some time and BACK TO WORK BOYS!!!!
