Fourteen Things That It Took Me 50 Years To Learn - Dave Barry1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be "meetings." 3. There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." 4. People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them. 5. You should not confuse your career with your life. 6. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. 7. Never lick a steak knife. 8. The most destructive force in the universe is gossip. 9. You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time. 10. You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment. 11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven. 12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above-average drivers. 13. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. 14. Your friends love you anyway. Enjai,
Puneet.H The Recent Retail therapyWell, here goes the story of a 22 year old just out of college graduate spending his "FIRST" salary... I dont understand the HOLY feeling shown by parents (Mums especially) when their sons get thier salary home and keep it in their hands. Suddenly, the boy who was begging for a bigger allowance (if he was getting one!!!) has become a MAN and has to shoulder the RESPONSIBILITIES of the Family... Anyway back to reality where a good boy like me went home and handed my salary to my mum like i was expected (or rather supposed) to. 2 days later, 2 friends of mine, my bro,mum and Myself went shopping as Expected.
First Buy: Clothes
2 Tshirts for myself and a trouser and one for each of my friends and my bro bought a trouser at GLOBUS and another friend got a Khaki bag, near Garuda Mall.
Second: Mobile
A Nokia 6600 mobile for my bro after which my bro is yet to return to PLANET EARTH.
Third: Bought a brand new pack of Norton Antivirus 2005 and a headphone to bless me with sanity.
And lastly topped it with a lavish treat at Nandhini near Palace Grounds with everyone present to GRACE the occasion. The SAD and WEIRD part being that mum didn't buy anything.. rather i should confess that i didn't buy anything for her!!!!! (Makes me feel i am not being paid enough....
Thats why mums will be mums and MEN will be boys
Thanks MA.
